Hey! Hey! Hey! I am Taneshia! Thank You for stopping by!!! While this may be a drop by to you, it is a VERY BIG deal to me. I am forever grateful for you taking the time to grace this lil’ old website with your presence! I hope you find it to be motivating and uplifting!!
Remember when that one influential person told you to follow your dreams? Well, guess what? I did!!
For so many years I put myself in that subliminal box everyone else put me in. Until one day I said, “I am so much more than this ugly box.” So, I swallowed my fears and decided to take some risks. I set out on a quest to start doing the things I always dreamed about growing up. I am now:
· The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the non-profit, Girls Recognizing Our Confidence and Knowledge, Inc. (Girls R.O.C.K.); and
· The Founder and Chief Executive Officer ofThe GranMuh Foundation, Inc.; and
· Co-Owner of Sassy Sisters Cosmetics, LLC
· Author of Oh Me, Oh My, Who Am I?; Oh, The Things I Can Be!; Life Happens (coming soon!); and the Two Peas in a Pod series (coming soon!)
Trust me, there is much more to come!
But, before any title I am a WOMAN. I am a woman who walks in my truth and I am on a journey to empower every young girl and purpose-filled woman to do the same.
Born and raised in South Georgia, I am a true Southern Bell (in my own way, of course)! I am a child of God, a mother to two sons, a military wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend, and a confidant. I am a true girly girl that loves everything about high heel shoes, purses, lipsticks, lip gloss, and a nice pair of shades. I think glitter makes everything better; so, shine bright all of my girly girls.
I have earned a B.S. in Biology (2006) and a Master of Public Health (2008) from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, respectively. I also earned a Ph.D. in Public Health (2013) from Walden University. I love everything about public health and encouraging positive lifestyle (behavior) changes.
Of course there is much more about me to share, but I will spare you and not give it to you all at once. We have plenty of time to get to know each other a little better!
Before we move on, lets make this deal with each other…Lets not tell each other who or what to be or do; Lets always empower, encourage, and uplift each other; Lets accept and walk in our truth; Lets always give everything we do 100%; Finally, Lets live in every moment, laugh every day, and love beyond words.
Now that is out of the way, lets conquer the world, girl (in our best pair of high heels, of course)!!
